“CENTAUR” COPILOTS* by Gerard Sarnat

”Centaur” Copilots*

The hottest new programming language is English.

–Charles Duhigg, quoting an OpenAI co-founder, The Optimists, New Yorker, 11Dec23

Half-human/ half-A.I. teams

Way back then in late 2022

When primitive ChatGPT

(Generative Pre-Trained

Transformer) is at first

Released to the public

–It’s straight-forward

Human languages

+Supercomputer

Racks of Nvidia

Mega-chips blew

Away all those now

Suddenly replaceable

Just-so-so code programmers.

P.S., here is feedback on above

From a crackerjack computer

Scientist & Silicon Valley

Neighbor: these tools are

Making mediocre I.T.

Workers a lot more

Productive but so

Far do not seem

To be replacing

Them at all…

Time will tell

If trend holds.
